Jairo Ramires received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Adelino Assis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 16th minute, Espantar F.C.'s Danilo Brochado dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Vítor Delgado managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Varatojo's supporters rose to their feet, but Vítor Delgado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Danilo Brochado was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Danilo Brochado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Espantar F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Danilo Brochado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adelino Assis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 57 minutes, Danilo Brochado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Espantar F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Danilo Brochado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The SC Varatojo players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
