Viriato Moreira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Sá, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 5th minute, Frieira F.C.'s Diamantino Setúbal seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Diamantino Setúbal the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Frieira F.C. protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Diamantino Setúbal had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 4th minute, one of Frieira F.C.:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Frieira F.C.. The referee gave Pontinha FC a penalty, 7 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Luís Vale, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Frieira F.C.'s Viriato Moreira. 1-0. Miguel Moutinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Viriato Moreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Carlos Lima managed to get in a good position for a shot. Frieira F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Lima was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adolfo Gaspar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Albertino Campos came free with the goalkeeper in the 22nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Viriato Moreira could save by the left post. Carlos Lima's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adolfo Gaspar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. In the 30th minute, Carlos Lima ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adolfo Gaspar was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. In the 35th minute of the match, Miguel Moutinho tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Viriato Moreira saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Mariano Sá received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Viriato Moreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 40 played minutes Pontinha FC got a freekick which was hit by Abel Aguiar. 42 minutes into the match, Frieira F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Moutinho came free, but Viriato Moreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46th minute Mariano Sá shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Viriato Moreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

57 minutes into the match, Frieira F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Moutinho came free, but Viriato Moreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 60 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Miguel Moutinho sped through Frieira F.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Viriato Moreira. Viriato Moreira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristóvão Vieira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rui Coimbra kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. After 68 played minutes, Pontinha FC's Luís Vale shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Viriato Moreira came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Pontinha FC reached it. Pontinha FC were awarded a corner in the 70th minute after Frieira F.C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luís Vale took the corner. Carlos Lima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adolfo Gaspar having to interfere. In the 75th minute, Carlos Lima got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vasco Aleixo during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 79th match minute, Frieira F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vasco Aleixo to maneuver through the defense. Albertino Campos struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Viriato Moreira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pontinha FC. Viriato Moreira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Moutinho in the 91st minute of play. Albertino Campos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Frieira F.C.'s Viriato Moreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Moutinho in the 96th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Pontinha FC had won after a very even match.
