Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Miguel Moutinho started the match with the kick off. Severiano Valido received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Adolfo Gaspar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Severiano Valido might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adolfo Gaspar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Severiano Valido ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severiano Valido in the 11th minute of play forced Pontinha FC's goalkeeper Adolfo Gaspar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adolfo Gaspar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Severiano Valido went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. 17 minutes into the match, Severiano Valido notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Pontinha FC's Adolfo Gaspar. Adolfo Gaspar was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 21 minutes into the game, Miguel Moutinho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pontinha FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lamacais the free kick. Delfim Azevedo hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Adolfo Gaspar made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Tiago Sesimbra sent off a good shot on target. 38 minutes into the match, Pontinha FC's goal looked a bit too open when Severiano Valido came free, but Adolfo Gaspar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tiago Sesimbra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Adolfo Gaspar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Severiano Valido was the one to do the kick off. Lamacais were awarded a corner in the 60th minute after Pontinha FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Aldo Moura took the corner. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severiano Valido in the 64th minute of play forced Pontinha FC's goalkeeper Adolfo Gaspar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Delfim Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Hermínio Cerqueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Lamacais's zone, Mariano Sá stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hermínio Cerqueira came out of the goal and Mariano Sá tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 76th minute Severiano Valido shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adolfo Gaspar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adolfo Gaspar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severiano Valido in the 77th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Albertino Campos got free with Hermínio Cerqueira in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Severiano Valido received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Adolfo Gaspar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pontinha FC's Adolfo Gaspar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raul Poças in the 93rd minute of play. In the 96th match minute, Pontinha FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xavier Viana to maneuver through the defense. Adolfo Gaspar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiago Sesimbra, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. Pontinha FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
