In the 16th minute Albertino Teixeira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herberto Vides saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bernardo Andrade made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gastão Belém in the 19th minute of play. If Gastão Belém had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Empardeadas FC's Albertino Teixeira in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Míticos Futebol Clube's goalie prevented a goal. If Nuno Lopes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 43rd match minute, Empardeadas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albertino Barros to maneuver through the defense. Herberto Vides took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albertino Teixeira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 49th minute of the match Empardeadas FC got a corner. Míticos Futebol Clube's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Rui Pinheiro ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Empardeadas FC's Rui Pinheiro to fire away a dangerous shot which Herberto Vides despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nuno Lopes was the one to do the kick off. Nuno Lopes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Herberto Vides tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Herberto Vides made an important save on a dangerous shot by Albertino Teixeira in the 69th minute. Gastão Belém fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardo Andrade having to interfere. Bernardo Andrade showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gastão Belém in the 72nd minute of the match. In the 85th minute, Míticos Futebol Clube's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Nuno Lopes fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 92nd minute Nuno Lopes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herberto Vides saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nuno Lopes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Empardeadas FC played a much better game than Míticos Futebol Clube and deserved their victory. The Míticos Futebol Clube players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
