In the 2nd match minute, Arnado FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eusébio Abreu to maneuver through the defense. When Vasco Vaz fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Arnado FC's protests and gave Vasco Vaz a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Arnado FC getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Vasco Vaz hit a great ball. After 8 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Arnado FC! Bernardo Andrade showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gonçalo Aleixo in the 13th minute of the match. In the 14th minute, Luís Fonseca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. João Oliveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nuno Lopes in the 21st minute of play. In the 24th minute Cristiano Simões shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Andrade saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Albertino Teixeira in the 27thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of João Oliveira, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 28 minutes into the game, Luís Fonseca was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Empardeadas FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arnado FC the free kick. The supporters of Arnado FC booed when Empardeadas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Fonseca didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 30 minutes, Albertino Barros mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Empardeadas FC and the Arnado FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Empardeadas FC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Albertino Barros hit a great ball. When Cristiano Simões, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 34 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Bernardo Andrade was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 41st minute, Afonso Trindade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Cristiano Simões had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nuno Lopes made a kick off. After having played for 64 minutes, Gonçalo Aleixo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arnado FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gonçalo Aleixo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Gonçalo Aleixo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arnado FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gonçalo Aleixo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bernardo Andrade breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Empardeadas FC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Luís Fonseca hit a great ball. Bernardo Andrade breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gonçalo Aleixo charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gonçalo Aleixo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gonçalo Aleixo hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Arnado FC's Gonçalo Aleixo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Bernardo Andrade. That made the score 1-1 after 76 minutes of play. Empardeadas FC's Bernardo Andrade proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Empardeadas FC from getting a goal against them. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Arnado FC's goalkeeper João Oliveira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Arnado FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
