Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Mariano Calçada charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mariano Calçada the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Mariano Calçada hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Vladimiro Macieira struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Raimundo Moita didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Limeiras. After a rather tough play, SC Penascosa's Vítor Vasconcelos got a free kick in the 6th minute. In the 8th minute, Amadeu Assunção hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Manuel Leão kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Raimundo Moita. That made the score 1-0 in the 15 minute of play. A collision led to SC Penascosa getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Marco Vasques hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Salvador Guterres managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Penascosa's supporters rose to their feet, but Salvador Guterres was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Israel Caiado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. SC Penascosa's Raimundo Moita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Leão in the 29th minute of play. Raimundo Moita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manuel Leão in the 31st minute of the match. Vladimiro Macieira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raimundo Moita having to interfere. Israel Caiado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Salvador Guterres in the 39th minute of play. If Salvador Guterres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 45 minutes, Valentim Sousa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Penascosa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valentim Sousa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Israel Caiado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valentim Sousa in the 47th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Valentim Sousa to make the kick off. Manuel Leão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Jordão Gois fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Limeiras's protests and gave Jordão Gois a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of SC Penascosa booed when Limeiras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jordão Gois didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Manuel Leão managed to get in a good position for a shot. Limeiras's supporters rose to their feet, but Manuel Leão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raimundo Moita breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Valentim Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SC Penascosa's Salvador Guterres got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Manuel Leão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Raimundo Moita tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Raimundo Moita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vladimiro Macieira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 81st minute, Manuel Leão ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Raimundo Moita was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. If Valentim Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Salvador Guterres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Israel Caiado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of SC Penascosa booed when Limeiras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. André Vilarinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Valentim Sousa came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the SC Penascosa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valentim Sousa couldn't finish the play.
