Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when António Mourato got the match started through his kick off. 4 minutes into the match, SC Gontim's goal looked a bit too open when Raimundo Bragança came free, but Humberto Matias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 5th minute Raimundo Bragança shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Humberto Matias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SC Gontim's Rui Pedro got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Jo Hacke came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the SC Gontim fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jo Hacke couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Espedrada's zone, Rui Pedro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Virgílio Eiró came out of the goal and Rui Pedro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 13th minute, Jo Hacke made a precise shot to the right of Virgílio Eiró. Espedrada's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. SC Gontim's Humberto Matias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by António Mourato in the 17th minute of play. Humberto Matias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from António Mourato, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rui Pedro was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 25th minute. SC Gontim's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Valente in the 30th minute of play forced SC Gontim's goalkeeper Humberto Matias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Virgílio Eiró managed to avoid a goal in the 32ndth minute, when SC Gontim's Rui Pedro fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 34th minute, António Mourato left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Espedrada fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. The throw-in from Elias Bettencourt in the 37th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by SC Gontim's Pedro Correia. If Rui Pedro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th minute, Rui Pedro made a precise shot to the right of Virgílio Eiró. Espedrada's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. When Espedrada's António Mourato in the 49th minute got a chance for a shot 49th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Gontim's goalie prevented a goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rui Pedro was the one to do the kick off. Rui Pedro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 56 minutes, Rui Pedro made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Espedrada's Virgílio Eiró tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Humberto Matias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from António Mourato in the 62nd minute of play. 65 minutes into the match, SC Gontim's goal looked a bit too open when António Mourato came free, but Humberto Matias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rui Pedro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Virgílio Eiró having to make a save. If Cláudio Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Espedrada's Virgílio Eiró played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rui Pedro in the 79th minute of play. Virgílio Eiró showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cláudio Vale, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rui Pedro in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Virgílio Eiró saved Espedrada from getting behind. Jorge Martins made in the 89th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Filinto Serpa immediately put the ball in play. Jo Hacke hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. SC Gontim's Humberto Matias proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save SC Gontim from getting a goal against them. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. SC Gontim had played much better football throughout.
