The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 6 minutes, Virgílio Moutinho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Antime's supporters crossed their fingers, but Virgílio Moutinho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the SC Bostarenga defense, Juvenal Leiria kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Manuel Queirós. The SC Bostarenga fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Manuel Queirós should have stopped the shot. Francisco Lima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Hildeberto Mourato tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Antime's goalkeeper Hildeberto Mourato, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Francisco Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 24 minutes into the game, Jacinto Figueiredo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Bostarenga's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Antime the free kick. Jacinto Figueiredo kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Manuel Queirós showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Virgílio Moutinho in the 35th minute of the match. Hildeberto Mourato showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandre Borba, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Francisco Lima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alexandre Borba made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Francisco Lima managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Bostarenga's supporters rose to their feet, but Francisco Lima was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hildeberto Mourato breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 65th minute, Virgílio Moutinho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Manuel Queirós was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Xavier Nascimento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Queirós having to interfere. The Antime supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Antime would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
