Cândido Bessa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 6 minutes into the match, SC Levrinho's goalkeeper Cândido Bessa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Raul Mourinho. After 7 played minutes Alexadre DC got a freekick which was hit by Amável Gueifão. After a defensive mix-up in Alexadre DC's zone, Cláudio Brás stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Germano Ferrão came out of the goal and Cláudio Brás tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alexadre DC's Germano Ferrão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cláudio Brás in the 11th minute of play. If Raul Mourinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Flávio Mafra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Cândido Bessa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 19th minute Cláudio Brás shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Germano Ferrão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Flávio Mafra was extremely unlucky when he, in the 22nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Cândido Bessa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flávio Mafra in the 26th minute of play. When Flávio Mafra came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Alexadre DC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Flávio Mafra couldn't finish the play. In the 31st match minute, SC Levrinho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Augusto Ribeiro to maneuver through the defense. If Cláudio Brás had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cláudio Brás recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Alexadre DC's José Azenha got a free kick in the 43rd minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Flávio Mafra in the 55th minute of play forced SC Levrinho's goalkeeper Cândido Bessa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugo Castro in the 57th minute of play forced Alexadre DC's goalkeeper Germano Ferrão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Flávio Mafra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 69th minute Flávio Mafra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cândido Bessa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cláudio Brás struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Germano Ferrão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Levrinho. Cândido Bessa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. 2-0 became the score in the 92nd minute when Flávio Mafra elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 97th minute the ball was on its way in behind Alexadre DC's goalkeeper Germano Ferrão, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alexadre DC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of SC Levrinho for a fine match.
