Amadeu Faria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hipólito Baptista having to interfere. Germano Brochado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hipólito Baptista read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. A collision led to SC Apolentina getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Reinaldo Quintas hit a great ball. Laurentino Junqueira who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 15thth minute tested the skills of Honorato Figueiredo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 26 minutes of play, SC Apolentina's Amadeu Faria made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hipólito Baptista was left in no man's land by his defense there! Germano Brochado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Germano Brochado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Hipólito Baptista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Tabarca FC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Éder Fagundes hit a great ball. Tabarca FC's Hipólito Baptista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Germano Brochado in the 37th minute of play. Laurentino Junqueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Amadeu Faria to make the kick off. Geraldo Macena's late challenge caught a SC Apolentina's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Geraldo Macena helped the player get up and apologised. In the 51st minute, Geraldo Macena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Amadeu Faria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hipólito Baptista having to interfere. 56 minutes into the game, Éder Fagundes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tabarca FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Apolentina the free kick. Éder Fagundes kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Germano Brochado struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Hipólito Baptista didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Apolentina. If Amadeu Faria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 61st minute, Laurentino Junqueira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 62nd minute, Jacinto Correia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hipólito Baptista made an important save on a dangerous shot by Germano Brochado in the 66th minute. Amadeu Faria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hipólito Baptista having to interfere. In the 76th match minute, Tabarca FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Américo Santana to maneuver through the defense. In the 78th minute Santiago Serpa managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. With a little luck, Tabarca FC's Hipólito Baptista got control of the ball when Germano Brochado tried to sneak it across the goal line. During the 80th minute of the match Éder Fagundes completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Éder Fagundes a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 81 played minutes Tabarca FC got a freekick which was hit by Éder Fagundes. Laurentino Junqueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Honorato Figueiredo having to interfere. Tabarca FC's Hipólito Baptista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amadeu Faria in the 89th minute of play. 91 minutes into the match, Germano Brochado dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Hipólito Baptista, 0-3. SC Apolentina's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
