Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Afonso Luz started the match with the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paulo Miranda during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Penacova's Paulo Miranda got a free kick in the 5th minute. After having played for 8 minutes, Afonso Luz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FIM DOS TEMPOS 2012's supporters crossed their fingers, but Afonso Luz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 12th minute Fábio Cunha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basílio Antunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 14th minute Afonso Luz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lourenço Baptista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Afonso Luz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alcides Maltez charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alcides Maltez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 24th match minute, FIM DOS TEMPOS 2012 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alcides Maltez to maneuver through the defense. Penacova's Sandro Valente couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 25th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for FIM DOS TEMPOS 2012. After a defensive mix-up in FIM DOS TEMPOS 2012's zone, Marco Campos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Basílio Antunes came out of the goal and Marco Campos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 30 minutes, Paulo Miranda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Penacova's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulo Miranda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Paulo Miranda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Afonso Luz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Basílio Antunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Miranda in the 47th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Augusto Cruz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. António Fontoura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lourenço Baptista having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Afonso Luz managed to get in a good position for a shot. FIM DOS TEMPOS 2012's supporters rose to their feet, but Afonso Luz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lourenço Baptista breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Penacova's Lourenço Baptista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by António Fontoura in the 68th minute of play. Fábio Cunha's late challenge caught a FIM DOS TEMPOS 2012's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fábio Cunha helped the player get up and apologised. After 78 played minutes Penacova got a freekick which was hit by Fábio Cunha. Penacova's Paulo Miranda got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Basílio Antunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Cruz in the 93rd minute of play. In the 96th minute, Penacova's Paulo Miranda ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Basílio Antunes. Basílio Antunes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Penacova had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
