Nicolau Cabral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Cruz in the 7th minute of play. 8 minutes into the match, Penacova's Augusto Cruz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nicolau Cabral narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Augusto Cruz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicolau Cabral having to interfere. Paulo Miranda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 13 minutes of play, Penacova's Paulo Miranda made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nicolau Cabral was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lourenço Baptista didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from António Peixoto went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Paulo Miranda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicolau Cabral having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marco Campos during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Marco Campos kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. In the 31st minute of the match Timóteo Matias sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lourenço Baptista skillfully saved the ball. Paulo Miranda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Augusto Cruz received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Nicolau Cabral came out and tried to block the shot, but Augusto Cruz slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 45th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rodrigo Malta stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If António Peixoto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marco Campos got his second yellow card in the match during the 53rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Marco Campos hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Penacova's Lourenço Baptista got control of the ball when António Peixoto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nicolau Cabral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Miranda in the 57th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Rodrigo Malta managed to get in a good position for a shot. G.D.L Supastars's supporters rose to their feet, but Rodrigo Malta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lourenço Baptista breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 60 minutes, Cristiano Alves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Penacova and the G.D.L Supastars players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Penacova's Cristiano Alves got a free kick in the 60th minute. Lourenço Baptista didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 61st minute, which inside left pole to 3-2. Rodrigo Malta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Lourenço Baptista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. António Peixoto in the 67thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Lourenço Baptista, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Nicolau Cabral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Miranda in the 89th minute of the match. Augusto Cruz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nicolau Cabral having to make a save. G.D.L Supastars's Rodrigo Malta got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Paulo Miranda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
