Heitor Leão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. David Branco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Afonso Coimbra made a kick off. Eduardo Garcia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Abreu having to interfere. With an all-out effort, SC Amioso's Ricardo Abreu threw himself towards the right post 63 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Lúcio Branco, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Heitor Leão came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Chorense fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Heitor Leão couldn't finish the play. 70 minutes into the match, Chorense's Afonso Coimbra sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that David Branco narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Chorense's Ricardo Abreu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lúcio Branco in the 78th minute of play. Lúcio Branco took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ricardo Abreu. Ricardo Abreu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-4.
