Daniel Viana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amado Magalhães having to interfere. Franzilhal's Amado Magalhães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Viana in the 7th minute of play. Alexandrino Soeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Heitor Moreira in the 18th minute of play forced Franzilhal's goalkeeper Amado Magalhães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Armando Linhares got free with Diamantino Domingos in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Heitor Moreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Amado Magalhães tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Daniel Viana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 33 played minutes Franzilhal got a freekick which was hit by Alexandrino Soeiro. In the 34th minute, Daniel Viana made a precise shot to the right of Amado Magalhães. Franzilhal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 38th minute, Armando Linhares made a precise shot to the right of Diamantino Domingos. Mazarefes's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Armando Linharess short, quick shot in the 42ndth minute got Diamantino Domingos to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Octávio Macedo to make the kick off. Gaspar Ferrão's late challenge caught a Mazarefes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Octávio Macedo in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Diamantino Domingos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Daniel Viana came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Mazarefes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Viana couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Viana got free with Amado Magalhães in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Heitor Moreira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Amado Magalhães read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. Diamantino Domingos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armando Linhares, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Armando Linhares in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Diamantino Domingos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Heitor Moreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Franzilhal's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
