In the 18th minute of the match Pascoal Miranda sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tomé Valverde skillfully saved the ball. Hildeberto Seixas's late challenge caught a Palmaz FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hildeberto Seixas helped the player get up and apologised. Hildeberto Seixas kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Rúben Regalado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Palmaz FC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Diogo Tavares hit a great ball. In the 31st minute, Vítor Nascimento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 32nd minute Rúben Regalado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Osvaldo Gomes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Veni Vidi Vici FC defense, Rúben Regalado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Osvaldo Gomes. The Veni Vidi Vici FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Osvaldo Gomes should have stopped the shot. Diogo Tavares hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. In the 40th minute Manuel França shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomé Valverde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomé Valverde made an important save on a dangerous shot by Óscar Falcão in the 41st minute. Óscar Falcão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Rúben Regalado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 47th match minute, Veni Vidi Vici FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hildeberto Seixas to maneuver through the defense. The Veni Vidi Vici FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Palmaz FC were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Manuel França made a kick off. Tomé Valverde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel França in the 52nd minute of play. In the 52nd match minute, Palmaz FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabriel Esteves to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Manuel França put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Tomé Valverde. When Manuel França came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Veni Vidi Vici FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manuel França couldn't finish the play. Palmaz FC's Tomé Valverde played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Óscar Falcão in the 62nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rúben Regalado got free with Osvaldo Gomes in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sabino Assunção was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 70th minute. Palmaz FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 75th minute of the match Diogo Tavares sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Osvaldo Gomes skillfully saved the ball. Hildeberto Seixas got his second yellow card in the match during the 76th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Veni Vidi Vici FC's Hildeberto Seixas got a free kick in the 76th minute. In the 78th minute, Rúben Regalado reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Osvaldo Gomes. The goal made the score 1-2. Óscar Falcão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Tomé Valverde tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Palmaz FC booed when Veni Vidi Vici FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aldaír Guimarães didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Palmaz FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
