Filipe Passos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sabino Assunção, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Palmaz FC's Romão Ferreira got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Daniel Cruz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sabino Assunção stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tomé Valverde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Altino Regueira in the 53rd minute of play. After 59 minutes, Alfredo Sales mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BlueBananas and the Palmaz FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 59th minute, Alfredo Sales hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomé Valverde showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Cruz in the 64th minute of the match. BlueBananas's supporters rose to their feet, but Adelino Mourato was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tomé Valverde breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Daniel Cruz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomé Valverde having to interfere. Palmaz FC's Tomé Valverde proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Palmaz FC from getting a goal against them. If Adelino Mourato had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match was over BlueBananas could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Palmaz FC throughout the match.
