Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Rui Ferreira kicked off to start the match. If Vicente Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cândido Gaspar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Cláudio Simões tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gemieira FC's Cândido Gaspar got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. José Macedo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Marco Ferreira made a huge save. Miguel Gonçalves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Ferreira having to interfere. Vicente Martins's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cláudio Simões read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. After having played for 27 minutes, Cândido Gaspar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gemieira FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cândido Gaspar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. José Macedo succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 31st playminute. 34 minutes into the match, Candoso's goal looked a bit too open when Ian Dalkvist came free, but Cláudio Simões reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Miguel Carvalho charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Miguel Carvalho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Gemieira FC's Miguel Carvalho got a free kick in the 35th minute. In the 39th minute, David Bessa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marco Ferreira was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but José Macedo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 48 minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Miguel Gonçalves was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Ian Dalkvist was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gemieira FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Candoso the free kick. The supporters of Candoso booed when Gemieira FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ian Dalkvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marco Ferreira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Gonçalves, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. In the 64th match minute, Candoso was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Macedo to maneuver through the defense. 67 minutes into the game, Miguel Gonçalves was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Candoso's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gemieira FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Candoso's Miguel Gonçalves got a free kick in the 67th minute. In the 74th minute Filipe Marques shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Ferreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 78 minutes into the match, Candoso's goal looked a bit too open when Ian Dalkvist came free, but Cláudio Simões reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cláudio Simões made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Vicente Martins sent off a good shot on target. Rui Ferreira who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 84thth minute tested the skills of Cláudio Simões when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Marco Ferreira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filipe Marques in the 85th minute of the match. José Macedo scored 3-2 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marco Ferreira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Miguel Gonçalves in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marco Ferreira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the Gemieira FC defense, Filipe Marques kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marco Ferreira. The Gemieira FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marco Ferreira should have stopped the shot. Cláudio Simões took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rui Ferreira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Candoso players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
