Hélio Dias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raul Brito in the 5th minute of the match. Luís Mota made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virgílio Mourato in the 9th minute of play. Raul Brito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hélio Dias having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Nafarros FC's Rui Amorim got a free kick in the 17th minute. Murganhal's Zacarias Garcia couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 18th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Nafarros FC. Fábio Coelho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fábio Coelho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Hélio Dias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hélio Dias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raul Brito in the 29th minute of the match. After 43 minutes of play, Nafarros FC's Fábio Coelho made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hélio Dias was left in no man's land by his defense there! Fábio Coelho struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Hélio Dias didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nafarros FC. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Virgílio Mourato made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcelo Barros got free with Luís Mota in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 53 minutes, Dário Correia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Murganhal and the Nafarros FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Murganhal's Dário Correia got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Nuno Aguiar took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 54th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Hélio Dias. Murganhal's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Marcelo Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Virgílio Mourato had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Virgílio Mourato couldn't finish the play. Hélio Dias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fábio Coelho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 94 minutes into the game, one of Murganhal:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Nafarros FC fully deserved thier win.
