Vasco Barros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olavo Ponte in the 7th minute of the match. 10 minutes into the match, Celtic do Porto's goal looked a bit too open when Hélder Luz came free, but Herberto Teixeira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 10th match minute, Celtic do Porto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Noel Amaro to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 13 minutes, Olavo Ponte managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Olavo Ponte ran back to his position shaking his head. Jorge Morais fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Herberto Teixeira having to interfere. Hélder Luz did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Herberto Teixeira 33 minutes into the match. Hélder Luz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Celtic do Porto's Herberto Teixeira got control of the ball when Jorge Morais tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jorge Morais fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Herberto Teixeira having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hélder Luz to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Noel Amaro during the 57th minute. A wasted opportunity for Sume FC. 74 minutes into the match, Jorge Morais notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Celtic do Porto's Herberto Teixeira. Herberto Teixeira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Vasco Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Heitor Conde in the 82nd minute of play. Hélder Luz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Herberto Teixeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Hélder Luz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Jorge Morais managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sume FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jorge Morais was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Herberto Teixeira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 94 minutes into the match, Celtic do Porto's goal looked a bit too open when Hélder Luz came free, but Herberto Teixeira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Celtic do Porto booed when Sume FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Morais didn't get a good kick on the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Sume FC fully deserved thier win.
