When José Amaro got free in front of the goal in the 6th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Luís Barbosa was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 8 minutes into the match, Alvorao FC's goalkeeper Luís Barbosa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Afonso Alves. Alexandre Moreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Leão having to interfere. André Borges sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 18th minute Xavier Nunes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Leão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Borges in the 19th minute of play forced SC Franzilhal's goalkeeper Marco Leão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. André Borges fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Leão having to interfere. If André Borges had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Xavier Nunes took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marco Leão. Marco Leão dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. José Amaro scored 1-1 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luís Barbosa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to SC Franzilhal getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. António Brás hit a great ball. 42 minutes into the match, Alvorao FC's goalkeeper Luís Barbosa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Afonso Alves. In the 45th minute, José Amaro reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Luís Barbosa. The goal made the score 2-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for José Amaro to strike the kick off in the second half. 59 minutes into the match, Alvorao FC's goal looked a bit too open when José Amaro came free, but Luís Barbosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that José Amaro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luís Barbosa was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. The supporters of Alvorao FC booed when SC Franzilhal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oliveira Vieira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Afonso Alves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Barbosa having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as André Borges kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Marco Leão. That made the score 2-2 in the 82 minute of play. In the 88th minute, Xavier Nunes reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Marco Leão. The goal made the score 2-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Afonso Alves in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luís Barbosa saved Alvorao FC from getting behind.
