A collision led to Ervosa FC getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Miguel Soares hit a great ball. The long shot by Teófilo Fidalgo in the 7th minute really tested Rui Abrantes's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 12th minute, Augusto Teixeira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 20th minute of the match Enzo Antunes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rui Abrantes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 23 minutes into the match, Leal Freire had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Caetano Candeias. SC Ermidas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leal Freire was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. If Leal Freire had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Teófilo Fidalgo charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Teófilo Fidalgo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Teófilo Fidalgo hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. In the 44th minute Leal Freire shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caetano Candeias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 47 minutes, Leal Freire managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ervosa FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leal Freire was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ronaldo Varanda stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Augusto Teixeira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rui Abrantes having to interfere. After a rather tough play, SC Ermidas's Aristides Casado got a free kick in the 54th minute. Vasco Vaz took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 55th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Caetano Candeias. SC Ermidas's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Leal Freire received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Caetano Candeias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 61 minutes into the match, SC Ermidas's goal looked a bit too open when Leal Freire came free, but Caetano Candeias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aristides Castro hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. In the 69th minute, Leal Freire hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Augusto Teixeira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Rui Abrantes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SC Ermidas's Caetano Candeias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leal Freire in the 83rd minute of play. After 93 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ervosa FC! In the 96th minute there was a penalty for SC Ermidas. Teófilo Fidalgo stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Rui Abrantes. 1-2. The SC Ermidas supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Ervosa FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Ervosa FC.
