The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Pires in the 3rd minute of play forced Dark Wolves's goalkeeper Mihnea Arapașu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mariano Viana made an important save on a dangerous shot by Viriato Vieira in the 6th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by José Castro during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Viriato Vieira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Mariano Viana made a huge save. Viriato Vieira in the 17thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Christijan Steyns received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Mariano Viana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Avarenta booed when Dark Wolves was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Viriato Vieira didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pedro Pires was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Pires in the 53rd minute of play forced Dark Wolves's goalkeeper Mihnea Arapașu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mihnea Arapașu made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Amadeu Veiga sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Viriato Vieira in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mariano Viana prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Christijan Steyns managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dark Wolves's supporters rose to their feet, but Christijan Steyns was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mariano Viana breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Avarenta getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Pedro Pires hit a great ball. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Avarenta's goalkeeper Mariano Viana, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Viriato Vieira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Dark Wolves's Viriato Vieira in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. If Viriato Vieira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dark Wolves's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
