SC Barcelos's Manuel Borba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viriato Monteiro in the 8th minute of play. After 11 played minutes, Barqueiro FC's Armando Neves shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Manuel Borba came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Barqueiro FC reached it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alfredo Macedo in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Manuel Borba saved SC Barcelos from getting behind. Manuel Borba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viriato Monteiro in the 19th minute of play. Cândido Ramos lost his temper 21 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 23rd minute there was a penalty for Barqueiro FC. Armando Neves stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Manuel Borba. 0-1. Manuel Borba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Inácio Neves in the 27th minute of the match. In the 29th match minute, Barqueiro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armando Neves to maneuver through the defense. After 34 minutes of play, Barqueiro FC's Daniel Fontes made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Manuel Borba was left in no man's land by his defense there! Inácio Neves scored 0-3 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Manuel Borba, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 42 minutes into the game, one of Barqueiro FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Daniel Fontes scored 0-4 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Manuel Borba, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. SC Barcelos's Mário Macedo was substituted for Viriato Antunes. After a rather tough play, Barqueiro FC's Viriato Monteiro got a free kick in the 69th minute. Cristiano Porto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Inácio Neves in the 72nd minute of play forced SC Barcelos's goalkeeper Manuel Borba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Cláudio Moutinho managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Barcelos's supporters rose to their feet, but Cláudio Moutinho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Filipe Amaro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Barqueiro FC played a much better game than SC Barcelos and deserved their victory. The SC Barcelos players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
