Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Lourenço Branco took the kick off in the first half of the match. Joaquim Carvalho scored 1-0 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of David Cunha, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, SC Almodovar's David Cunha got control of the ball when Joaquim Carvalho tried to sneak it across the goal line. 12 minutes into the game, Abel Vaz lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated David Cunha. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Manhente's goalkeeper David Teixeira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lourenço Branco struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. David Teixeira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Almodovar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lourenço Branco in the 27th minute of play forced SC Manhente's goalkeeper David Teixeira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fernando Borba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. David Teixeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 33 minutes into the match, SC Manhente's goal looked a bit too open when Lúcio Carneiro came free, but David Teixeira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Fernando Borba came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the SC Almodovar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernando Borba couldn't finish the play. SC Manhente's David Teixeira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lourenço Branco in the 37th minute of play. The supporters of SC Almodovar booed when SC Manhente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquim Santarém didn't get a good kick on the ball. SC Almodovar's David Cunha proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save SC Almodovar from getting a goal against them. Lourenço Branco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Teixeira having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Abel Vaz made a kick off. David Teixeira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lourenço Branco in the 63rd minute of the match. Joaquim Gonçalves's late challenge caught a SC Almodovar's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joaquim Gonçalves helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, SC Manhente's Joaquim Gonçalves got a free kick in the 67th minute. SC Almodovar's Henrique Barbosa shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 67th minute of play. The shot was stopped by David Teixeira but with some difficulty. Abel Vaz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. David Cunha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abel Vaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Joaquim Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, SC Almodovar's Diogo Faria got a free kick in the 75th minute. In the 76th minute Joaquim Carvalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lourenço Branco struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. David Teixeira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Almodovar. Fernando Borba blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without David Teixeira having to make a save. Fernando Borba's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but David Teixeira firmly grabbed it by the left post. SC Almodovar's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
