Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tomás Costa started the match with the kick off. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ferradeira FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 5th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, João Martins, was totally fooled by Gioes's Domingos Araújo, who 6 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. João Martins took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomás Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 13 minutes, Carlos Nogueira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ferradeira FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Nogueira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pedro Nogueira kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. In the 20th minute Paulo Ferro suffered a knee injury and had to be helped off the field. After a defensive mix-up in Gioes's zone, João Pinho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vasco Soares came out of the goal and João Pinho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Afonso Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. João Pinho struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Vasco Soares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. In the 46th minute João Pinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vasco Soares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when João Pinho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Tomás Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. João Martins took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Afonso Carvalho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. João Martins made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Afonso Carvalho in the 66th minute of play. João Pinho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If João Pinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vasco Soares came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Ferradeira FC's João Pinho. But to his dismay, João Pinho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Carlos Nogueira's late challenge caught a Gioes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carlos Nogueira helped the player get up and apologised. In the 82nd match minute, Ferradeira FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Nogueira to maneuver through the defense. João Martins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Afonso Carvalho in the 88th minute of the match. In the 89th minute, Afonso Carvalho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Ferradeira FC's goalkeeper João Martins, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 95th minute Afonso Carvalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Martins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Ferradeira FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ferradeira FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
