The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joaquim Mendes couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in SC Pousadas's zone, Américo Ferreira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Pedroso came out of the goal and Américo Ferreira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alexandre Leite sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 25 minutes, Gil Correia made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Empardeadas's Afonso Guerreiro tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Mário Assis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Pedroso having to interfere. After a rather tough play, SC Pousadas's Gil Correia got a free kick in the 35th minute. After a defensive mix-up in SC Pousadas's zone, Mário Assis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Pedroso came out of the goal and Mário Assis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Empardeadas's Américo Ferreira in 37 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. José Pedroso guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Américo Ferreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Pedroso having to interfere. 39 minutes into the game, Joaquim Mendes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Pousadas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Empardeadas the free kick. Joaquim Mendes hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. When Mário Assis came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Empardeadas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mário Assis couldn't finish the play. 43 minutes into the match, Joaquim Mendes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Afonso Guerreiro. Empardeadas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joaquim Mendes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alexandre Leite stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. José Pedroso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Empardeadas. Empardeadas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Pousadas the free kick. In the 93rd match minute, Empardeadas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucas Costa to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Empardeadas booed when SC Pousadas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Dantas didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Empardeadas players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented SC Pousadas from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
