Lourenço Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Heitor Torres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Albertino Simões struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Cristiano Amaro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Redundo FC. When Carlos Veiga fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cristelo's protests and gave Carlos Veiga a yellow card for diving instead. After 10 played minutes Cristelo got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Veiga. In the 12th minute, Amadeu Abreu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 17 minutes into the match, Redundo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Heitor Torres came free, but Lourenço Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Heitor Torres in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lourenço Amorim saved Redundo FC from getting behind. A collision led to Cristelo getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Bruno Trindade hit a great ball. Redundo FC's Armindo Carneiro couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 31st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Cristelo. Albertino Simões sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 35 played minutes Redundo FC got a freekick which was hit by Rui Lima. 39 minutes into the match, Heitor Torres notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Redundo FC's Lourenço Amorim. Lourenço Amorim was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cristiano Amaro made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Albertino Simões sent off a good shot on target. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. José Paredes was the one to do the kick off. Raul Anjos's late challenge caught a Redundo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Raul Anjos helped the player get up and apologised. Cristiano Amaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albertino Simões in the 52nd minute of play. After 59 played minutes Redundo FC got a freekick which was hit by Lucas Lima. If Heitor Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Heitor Torres blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lourenço Amorim having to make a save. Augusto Magalhães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Augusto Magalhães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Paredes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cristiano Amaro having to make a save. In the 72nd minute José Paredes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristiano Amaro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cristelo's goalkeeper Cristiano Amaro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cristelo's Augusto Magalhães got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 78th match minute, Redundo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Catarino Resende to maneuver through the defense. Augusto Magalhães might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lourenço Amorim. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Augusto Magalhães ran back to his position shaking his head. Heitor Torres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Lourenço Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lourenço Amorim made an important save on a dangerous shot by Augusto Magalhães in the 96th minute. When the final whistle sounded Cristelo left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Redundo FC.
