After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Eduardo Castro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lentisqueira's supporters rose to their feet, but Eduardo Castro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eduardo Castro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lourenço Amorim having to interfere. When Sérgio Barros came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Lentisqueira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sérgio Barros couldn't finish the play. In the 42nd minute, Rui Leão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Redundo FC's Lourenço Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sérgio Barros in the 43rd minute of play. Lourenço Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eduardo Castro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Lentisqueira were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when José Paredes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Albertino Simões struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Luís Leite didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Redundo FC. In the 58th minute, Manuel Soares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. José Paredes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 64 minutes into the match, Redundo FC's goalkeeper Lourenço Amorim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sérgio Barros. Sérgio Barros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lourenço Amorim having to interfere. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Redundo FC's goalkeeper Lourenço Amorim, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 85 minutes, Sérgio Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lentisqueira's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sérgio Barros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eduardo Castro in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lourenço Amorim saved Redundo FC from getting behind. Eduardo Castro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lourenço Amorim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play.
