After some careless play in the Milhoes defense, Abel Valente kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lúcio Vale. The Milhoes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lúcio Vale should have stopped the shot. If Gaspar Aleixo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristóvão Trindade in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lúcio Vale prevented the ball from getting in the gole. David Ferro kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Salao FC's Xavier Resende proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Salao FC from getting a goal against them. Gaspar Aleixo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xavier Resende having to interfere. Xavier Resende took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filipe Jesus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gaspar Aleixos short, quick shot in the 28thth minute got Xavier Resende to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Gaspar Aleixo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 30thth minute, Xavier Resende skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Gaspar Aleixo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Xavier Resende tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 40 minutes, Xavier Resende successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 41 minutes, Adolfo Guerreiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Salao FC and the Milhoes players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 41st minute, Adolfo Guerreiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Gaspar Aleixo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Filipe Jesus got free with Xavier Resende in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pedro Queirós to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, Salao FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adolfo Guerreiro to maneuver through the defense. Gaspar Aleixo's late challenge caught a Salao FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gaspar Aleixo helped the player get up and apologised. After 57 played minutes Milhoes got a freekick which was hit by Gaspar Aleixo. After a defensive mix-up in Milhoes's zone, Abel Valente stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lúcio Vale came out of the goal and Abel Valente tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pedro Queirós received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. In the 70thth minute of the game Pedro Queirós who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Milhoes's Lúcio Vale was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 70th match minute, Milhoes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristiano Luz to maneuver through the defense. Abel Valente could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Lúcio Vale made a huge save. Gaspar Aleixo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xavier Resende having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Salao FC's Abel Carneiro got a free kick in the 75th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Filipe Jesus in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Xavier Resende saved Salao FC from getting behind. Diogo Morais kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Abel Valente sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristóvão Trindade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lúcio Vale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Queirós, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. In the 92nd minute, Paulo Faria sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Salao FC's Xavier Resende didn't even have to move. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
