Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Amadeu Assis got the match started through his kick off. In the 4th minute Francisco Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexandre Barbosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Vinho getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Rui Coimbra hit a great ball. Sebastião Viana struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Fernando Mendes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Redundo. Redundo's Alexandre Barbosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amadeu Assis in the 15th minute of play. Francisco Sousa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Alexandre Barbosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 19th minute, Francisco Sousa had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. 19 minutes into the game, Marco Barbosa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Redundo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vinho the free kick. The referee gave Vinho a penalty, 21 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Rui Coimbra, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Redundo's Alexandre Barbosa. 0-1. Vinho's Fernando Mendes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastião Viana in the 26th minute of play. Vinho's Fernando Mendes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Vinho from getting a goal against them. Armindo Nevess short, quick shot in the 29thth minute got Fernando Mendes to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Sebastião Viana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Fernando Mendes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 35 minutes into the game, Armindo Neves lined in a short shot 1-1 behind a frustrated Fernando Mendes. Sebastião Viana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Vinho getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Basílio Nascimento hit a great ball. In the 48th minute, Sebastião Viana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
After 55 played minutes Redundo got a freekick which was hit by Fernando Morais. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Amadeu Assis in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alexandre Barbosa saved Redundo from getting behind. Amadeu Assis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sebastião Viana recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marco Barbosa took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 77th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fernando Mendes. Vinho's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Augusto Ferreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alexandre Barbosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amadeu Assis in the 82nd minute of play. Amadeu Assis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre Barbosa having to interfere. In the 92nd minute, Rogério Macedo made a precise shot to the right of Fernando Mendes. Vinho's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Sebastião Viana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Mendes having to interfere. Redundo's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
