Alexandre Reis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fernando Mendes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Amadeu Assis in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Domingos Domingues prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Francisco Sousa might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Domingos Domingues. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Francisco Sousa ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 95th minute Amadeu Assis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Domingos Domingues saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The SC Redinha fans cheered their team off the field, for while Vinho had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
