Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Lúcio Maia started the match with the kick off. Pedro Costa's late challenge caught a SC Balugais's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pedro Costa helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to SC Casevel getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Pedro Costa hit a great ball. SC Balugais's Tiago Moniz got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 21st minute of the match Sebastião Fernandes sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jaime Macedo skillfully saved the ball. With his leg Jaime Macedo managed to avoid a goal in the 23rdth minute, when SC Casevel's Simão Vieira fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The attack was good, but when Armindo Correia in the 26th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Armindo Correia managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Casevel's supporters rose to their feet, but Armindo Correia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jaime Macedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Paulo Coimbra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lúcio Maia in the 33rd minute of play. Tiago Moniz scored 1-2 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Paulo Coimbra, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 41 minutes into the match, SC Balugais's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Abreu came free, but Jaime Macedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Manuel Abreu hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. After 48 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for SC Casevel! In the 51st minute there was a penalty for SC Balugais. Alfredo Jesus stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Paulo Coimbra. 1-3. After the first half SC Balugais were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Armindo Correia was the one to do the kick off. Sebastião Fernandes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jaime Macedo having to interfere. If Lúcio Maia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulo Coimbra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Marques, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. SC Casevel's Armindo Correia got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fábio Amaral kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. After having played for 73 minutes, Manuel Abreu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Casevel's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manuel Abreu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tiago Moniz got free with Paulo Coimbra in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Tiago Moniz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 80th match minute, SC Casevel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adolfo Assis to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, SC Balugais's Lúcio Maia got a free kick in the 81st minute. The supporters of SC Casevel booed when SC Balugais was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiago Moniz didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to SC Casevel getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. António Castro hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in SC Casevel's zone, Lúcio Maia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulo Coimbra came out of the goal and Lúcio Maia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 101st match minute, SC Balugais was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredo Jesus to maneuver through the defense. Pedro Costa was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 102nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The SC Balugais supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SC Balugais would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
