An unexpectedly hard shot by Nuno Torres in the 37th minute of play forced Touguinho's goalkeeper Cândido Guerreiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Touguinho's Cândido Guerreiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nuno Torres in the 41st minute of play. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. A hard shot by Cristóvão Moura from long distance, 69 minutes into the match, got Cândido Guerreiro's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. If Simão Teixeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nuno Torres in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cândido Guerreiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rui Araújo during the 79th minute.
