After a rather tough play, Antua's Rui Matos got a free kick in the 2nd minute. After having played for 5 minutes, Nuno Amaro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Cunhas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nuno Amaro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. SC Cunhas's Tiago Moutinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Barros in the 15th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vicente Machado in the 16th minute of play forced SC Cunhas's goalkeeper Tiago Moutinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carlos Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Tiago Moutinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carlos Barros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tiago Moutinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vicente Machado in the 23rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diamantino Alves in the 25th minute of play forced Antua's goalkeeper Cláudio Valente to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Júlio Fonseca during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of SC Cunhas booed when Antua was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Júlio Fonseca didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nuno Amaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Cláudio Valente tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vicente Machado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Tiago Moutinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nuno Amaro got free with Cláudio Valente in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. During the 45th minute of the match Júlio Fonseca completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Júlio Fonseca a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 46th minute, Júlio Fonseca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Diamantino Alves made a kick off. Diamantino Alves succeeded in the game's 65th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. Fábio Rodrigues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. SC Cunhas's Tiago Moutinho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save SC Cunhas from getting a goal against them. Nuno Amaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Cláudio Valente tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cláudio Valente made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diamantino Alves in the 78th minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, Antua's goal looked a bit too open when Diamantino Alves came free, but Cláudio Valente reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nuno Amaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cláudio Valente having to interfere. Nuno Amaro struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Cláudio Valente didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Cunhas. After 91 minutes, Jaime Paredes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Cunhas and the Antua players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 91 played minutes SC Cunhas got a freekick which was hit by Jaime Paredes. Tiago Moutinho made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Vicente Machado sent off a good shot on target. When Diamantino Alves came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the SC Cunhas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diamantino Alves couldn't finish the play. Diamantino Alves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Cláudio Valente tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Antua's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
