The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Armando Delgado scored 2-0 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tiago Moutinho, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Albagado's Rogério Ferreira got a free kick in the 21st minute. Diamantino Alves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henrique Queirós having to interfere. When Diamantino Alves came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the SC Cunhas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diamantino Alves couldn't finish the play. In the 32nd minute Nuno Amaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henrique Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 34th minute, Pedro Amaral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tiago Moutinho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Barros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nuno Amaro struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute.
