Vítor Guarda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Dias having to interfere. In the 6th minute Vítor Guarda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Dias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Heitor Borges recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. SC Sistais's Pedro Dias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vítor Guarda in the 11th minute of play. Delfim Faria succeeded in the game's 12th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. In the 17th match minute, Gordos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristiano Moura to maneuver through the defense. When Gordos FC's Delfim Faria in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Sistais's goalie prevented a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Vítor Guarda managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gordos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Vítor Guarda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Dias breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 25 minutes into the match, Vítor Guarda notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of SC Sistais's Pedro Dias. Pedro Dias was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Delfim Faria in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro Dias prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vítor Guarda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lúcio Moreira kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. A collision led to SC Sistais getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Lúcio Moreira hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, SC Sistais's Lúcio Moreira got a free kick in the 41st minute. Nuno Valente sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gordos FC's Raul Bessa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Gordos FC from getting a goal against them. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when Nuno Valente made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Cristiano Moura hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nuno Valente recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 59 minutes into the game, one of Gordos FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Raul Bessa went to the wrong direction when Luís Abreu was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. If Delfim Faria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nuno Valente in the 69th minute of play forced Gordos FC's goalkeeper Raul Bessa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lúcio Moreira's late challenge caught a Gordos FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lúcio Moreira helped the player get up and apologised. After 78 played minutes SC Sistais got a freekick which was hit by Lúcio Moreira. Gordos FC's Vítor Guarda got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Delfim Faria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Pedro Dias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Raul Bessa came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Sistais's Nuno Valente. But to his dismay, Nuno Valente quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Delfim Faria was extremely unlucky when he, in the 88th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 90th minute, one of SC Sistais:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for SC Sistais. The referee gave Gordos FC a penalty, 92 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Rui Ribeiro, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of SC Sistais's Pedro Dias. 1-3. Gordos FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
