A collision led to Nodeirinho FC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Jorge Reis hit a great ball. Delfim Faria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. A very good chance for a goal. 42 minutes into the match, Paulo Pinho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Raul Bessa. Gordos FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Paulo Pinho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After 47 minutes, Abel Monteiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gordos FC and the Nodeirinho FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 47th minute, Abel Monteiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Delfim Faria to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vítor Guarda in the 73rd minute of play forced Nodeirinho FC's goalkeeper Rafael Teixeira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rafael Teixeira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vítor Guarda in the 78th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Delfim Faria in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rafael Teixeira saved Nodeirinho FC from getting behind. Vítor Guarda struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Rafael Teixeira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gordos FC. Through an outstanding action, after 86 minutes, Raul Bessa successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After some careless play in the Gordos FC defense, Basílio Melo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Raul Bessa. The Gordos FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Raul Bessa should have stopped the shot. With his leg Raul Bessa managed to avoid a goal in the 93rdth minute, when Nodeirinho FC's Paulo Pinho fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When the final whistle went the supporters of Nodeirinho FC were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Gordos FC side.
