With a little luck, Vargos FC's Inácio Silva got control of the ball when Jorge Sá tried to sneak it across the goal line. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lucas Cruz made a kick off. If António Guerreiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Inácio Silva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge Sá, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vargos FC's António Guerreiro got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lucas Cruz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Nuno Fontes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Inácio Silva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Sá in the 81st minute of play. Manuel Baptista took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 84th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Inácio Silva. Vargos FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 90th minute, Jorge Sá made a precise shot to the right of Inácio Silva. Vargos FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1.
