Jacinto Macedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Diamantino Correia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cláudio Neves read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Joaquim Moura took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Oliveira Santos. Oliveira Santos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Jacinto Macedo struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Cláudio Neves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Salir FC. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cristóvão Viana to strike the kick off in the second half. Jacinto Macedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cláudio Neves having to interfere. During the 56th minute of the match João Resende completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave João Resende a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Argaselo FC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. João Resende hit a great ball. Salir FC's Diamantino Correia got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 68th match minute, Argaselo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristóvão Viana to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Jacinto Macedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Salir FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jacinto Macedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cláudio Neves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diamantino Correia in the 78th minute of play. Argaselo FC's Cláudio Neves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diamantino Correia in the 84th minute of play. If Cristóvão Viana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Salir FC's Oliveira Santos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Salir FC from getting a goal against them. Diamantino Correia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Cláudio Neves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
