After a rather tough play, Vais's Gaspar Figueiredo got a free kick in the 15th minute. With a little luck, Vais's Gaspar Lisboa got control of the ball when Francisco Cardoso tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 21 minutes, Adolfo Lima managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fraldeu FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adolfo Lima was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 22nd minute, Gaspar Figueiredo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With his leg Gaspar Lisboa managed to avoid a goal in the 26thth minute, when Fraldeu FC's Nuno Domingues fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Miguel Costa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gonçalo Andrade, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. In the 32ndth minute of the game Vítor Gomes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fraldeu FC's Miguel Costa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Vítor Gomes took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Miguel Costa. Miguel Costa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. When Armindo Cunha fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fraldeu FC's protests and gave Armindo Cunha a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Vais booed when Fraldeu FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armindo Cunha didn't get a good kick on the ball. 43 minutes into the game, Gonçalo Andrade cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Miguel Costa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gonçalo Andrade stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Miguel Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonçalo Andrade in the 55th minute of play. Gaspar Lisboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nuno Domingues, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vítor Gomes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Costa having to interfere. If Gonçalo Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Adolfo Lima's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gaspar Lisboa was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. If Nuno Domingues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 75th match minute, Fraldeu FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manuel Pedroso to maneuver through the defense. Miguel Costa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vítor Gomes, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. When Vais's Fernando Figueiredo in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
