Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) SL Benfica's Leonel Vaz started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Leonel Vaz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Fernando Pereira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Orbacem's supporters rose to their feet, but Fernando Pereira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Serafim Seixas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Pedro Rocha fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Orbacem's protests and gave Pedro Rocha a yellow card for diving instead. After 19 played minutes Orbacem got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Rocha. Orbacem's Pedro Macedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonel Vaz in the 27th minute of play. Leonel Vaz's late challenge caught a Orbacem's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leonel Vaz helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, SL Benfica's Leonel Vaz got a free kick in the 31st minute. Joaquim Teixeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 47 minutes of play, Orbacem's Joaquim Teixeira made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Serafim Seixas was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joaquim Teixeira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in SL Benfica's zone, Humberto Coimbra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Serafim Seixas came out of the goal and Humberto Coimbra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Humberto Coimbra hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leonel Vaz in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Macedo saved Orbacem from getting behind. Pedro Macedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonel Vaz, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Leonel Vaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Orbacem had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
