The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Edgar Laureano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from André Antunes in the 3rd minute of the match. Pousas FC's Filipe Rocha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Estrela in the 5th minute of play. Pousas FC's Filipe Rocha proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Pousas FC from getting a goal against them. In the 9th minute, Isidoro Fidalgo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 15th minute of the match, Vítor Bentes got a very nice opportunity to score, but Filipe Rocha was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Filipe Rocha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolas Leitão in the 21st minute of play. André Antunes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Edgar Laureano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Pousas FC's Filipe Rocha got control of the ball when Vítor Bentes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pousas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but André Antunes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 42 played minutes Lokomotiva- Axantrazada got a freekick which was hit by Vítor Bentes. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
