In the 3rd minute João Faria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but António Leal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abel Araújo took the ball and in the 5 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised António Leal. António Leal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Carlos Leal struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. André Faro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Souto. Carlos Leal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. André Faro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SC Souto's Bento Andrade got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. António Leal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Faria in the 15th minute of play. Abel Araújo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Trezeste getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Alexandre Miranda hit a great ball. A collision led to SC Souto getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Afonso Magalhães hit a great ball. Trezeste's Artur Ferreira pulled a muscle in his leg after 41 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Carlos Moniz charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carlos Moniz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 44 minutes into the game, João Faria cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. António Leal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bento Andrade stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Trezeste:s André Faro showed great skill when he stopped Cláudio Lima:s penalty. Trezeste's André Faro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bento Andrade in the 65th minute of play. SC Souto's Bento Andrade got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rui Nascimento during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Rui Nascimento hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. André Faro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Leal, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. After 75 played minutes Trezeste got a freekick which was hit by Alexandre Miranda. Cláudio Lima took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 76th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for André Faro. Trezeste's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Bento Andrade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Bento Andrade managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Souto's supporters rose to their feet, but Bento Andrade was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. André Faro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Trezeste's André Faro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bento Andrade in the 84th minute of play. Trezeste's João Faria got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 94th match minute, Trezeste was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Augusto Cruz to maneuver through the defense. André Faro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Leal in the 97th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Trezeste's Daniel Leite got a free kick in the 98th minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Trezeste had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
