Januário Viveiros in the 3rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of André Faro, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Leões de Vila de Rei's Bruno Bombardeiro got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. João Faria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiago Damásio having to interfere. In the 18th minute, George Best got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Trezeste's zone, Januário Viveiros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. André Faro came out of the goal and Januário Viveiros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When João Faria came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Trezeste fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that João Faria couldn't finish the play. 27 minutes into the match, João Faria had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tiago Damásio. Leões de Vila de Rei's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that João Faria was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. When Leões de Vila de Rei's Januário Viveiros in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Trezeste's goalie prevented a goal. When Augusto Cruz fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Trezeste's protests and gave Augusto Cruz a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Trezeste getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Augusto Cruz hit a great ball. When Edgar Cunha came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Leões de Vila de Rei fans jumped to their feet. André Faro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Januário Viveiros in the 37th minute of the match. During the 37th minute of the match Augusto Cruz completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Augusto Cruz a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 38th match minute, Trezeste was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Augusto Cruz to maneuver through the defense. Edgar Cunha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. André Faro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 46 minutes into the game, Daniel Leite was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Trezeste's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Leões de Vila de Rei the free kick. A collision led to Trezeste getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Daniel Leite hit a great ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
If João Faria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rubim Fernandes kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. João Faria struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Tiago Damásio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Trezeste. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, João Faria put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Tiago Damásio. After having played for 64 minutes, Januário Viveiros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leões de Vila de Rei's supporters crossed their fingers, but Januário Viveiros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Bruno Bombardeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. André Faro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Januário Viveiros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 73 minutes in the game, João Faria fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Tiago Damásio having to interfere. 78 minutes into the game, Leões de Vila de Rei's George Best nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. André Faro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. In the 81st minute George Best shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Faro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Januário Viveiros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 86 minutes of play, Leões de Vila de Rei's Januário Viveiros made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. André Faro was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Diamantino Tomé in the 92nd minute of play forced Trezeste's goalkeeper André Faro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee ended the match the Leões de Vila de Rei players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
