The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Adelino Andrade made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xavier Miranda in the 13th minute of play. In the 14th minute, Paulo Moniz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 16 minutes, Amílcar Santos made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. SC Taveira's Adelino Andrade tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 21 minutes into the match, SC Taveira's goal looked a bit too open when Amílcar Santos came free, but Adelino Andrade reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bernardo Bessa's late challenge caught a SC Bolada's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After 40 played minutes SC Taveira got a freekick which was hit by Bernardo Bessa. Paulo Moniz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adelino Andrade made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amílcar Santos in the 44th minute of play. After having played for 46 minutes, Paulo Moniz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Bolada's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulo Moniz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Amílcar Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adelino Andrade having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Amílcar Santos to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, SC Bolada's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Pinto came free, but Joaquim Valente reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 59 minutes into the game, Jorge Pinto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Taveira's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Bolada the free kick. If Paulo Moniz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 83 minutes into the match, Amílcar Santos dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Adelino Andrade, 1-5. In the 88th minute, Paulo Moniz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, SC Taveira's Oliveira Pinho got a free kick in the 92nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Pinto in the 94th minute of play forced SC Bolada's goalkeeper Joaquim Valente to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The SC Taveira fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. SC Bolada were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
