Nuno Barcelos took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eusébio Ramos. Eusébio Ramos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Nuno Barcelos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Manuel Faro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Paolo Oxarra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Anselmo Galvão fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Grupo Desportivo do Topo's protests and gave Anselmo Galvão a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 35th minute of the game. One of Grupo Desportivo do Topo:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of SC Coitada:s goal. The referee gave SC Coitada a penalty, 37 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Hugo Fontes, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Grupo Desportivo do Topo's Paolo Oxarra. 1-1. 43 minutes into the match, SC Coitada's goal looked a bit too open when Nivaldo Laureano came free, but Eusébio Ramos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Grupo Desportivo do Topo's goalkeeper Paolo Oxarra, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nivaldo Laureano was the one to do the kick off. SC Coitada's defense didn't have a chance, in the 58th minute, when Nivaldo Laureano scored to the left of an out of position Eusébio Ramos, making the score, 1-2. Nuno Barcelos's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 77thth minute, Eusébio Ramos skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 80 played minutes SC Coitada got a freekick which was hit by Lourenço Moniz. Eusébio Ramos made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Nuno Barcelos sent off a good shot on target. SC Coitada's Eusébio Ramos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nivaldo Laureano in the 89th minute of play. Lourenço Moniz kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. If Nivaldo Laureano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Grupo Desportivo do Topo had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
