The coaching staff of Pelosiro Team protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Leonardo Seixas had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 6th minute, one of Pelosiro Team:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Pelosiro Team. Israel Espírito Santo had in the 9thth minute some difficulties stopping Óscar Carvalho's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Jaime Barbosa kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. After 13 played minutes Pelosiro Team got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Veiga. The supporters of Seixeira FC booed when Pelosiro Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodolfo Mendonça didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Pelosiro Team's zone, Joaquim Esteves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Israel Espírito Santo came out of the goal and Joaquim Esteves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jaime Barbosa made in the 19th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Pelosiro Team's Rodolfo Mendonça. Pelosiro Team's Israel Espírito Santo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Melo in the 25th minute of play. After some careless play in the Pelosiro Team defense, Lucas Melo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Israel Espírito Santo. The Pelosiro Team fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Israel Espírito Santo should have stopped the shot. Israel Espírito Santo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucas Melo, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. 35 minutes into the match, Pelosiro Team's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquim Esteves came free, but Israel Espírito Santo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Veiga made a kick off. Lucas Melo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Israel Espírito Santo came out and tried to block the shot, but Lucas Melo slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 52nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joaquim Esteves got free with Israel Espírito Santo in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Seixeira FC's Lucas Melo got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Seixeira FC's Adelino Ferreira pulled a muscle in his leg after 60 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 60 minutes, Veríssimo Velasques mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pelosiro Team and the Seixeira FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Veríssimo Velasques hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joaquim Esteves got free with Israel Espírito Santo in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 71 minutes into the game, Lucas Melo threw the ball into play from the sideline. Pelosiro Team's Nicolau Caldas quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Pelosiro Team's Nicolau Caldas quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Lucas Melo, made in the 73rd minute of the game. Hermenegildo Vidigal charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
