SC Vinho's Carlos Torres proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save SC Vinho from getting a goal against them. Cândido Azevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Șerban Iovanovici having to interfere. Gervásio Pedroso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Carlos Torres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gervásio Raposo was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 15th minute. Alcateia FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Alcateia FC's Șerban Iovanovici played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Nunes in the 17th minute of play. Sandro Assunção sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tiago Gameiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gervásio Pedroso struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Carlos Torres didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alcateia FC. After having played for 46 minutes, Gervásio Raposo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alcateia FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gervásio Raposo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in SC Vinho's zone, Gervásio Pedroso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Torres came out of the goal and Gervásio Pedroso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cândido Azevedo made a kick off. Gervásio Pedroso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Carlos Torres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 57th match minute, SC Vinho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sandro Assunção to maneuver through the defense. In the 61st minute, Miromir Rutkowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Șerban Iovanovici acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 62nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Jorge Leiria.
