Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Cândido Ramires started the match with the kick off. Maciej Dubiel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Branco having to interfere. Cantanhede's João Branco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cândido Ramires in the 7th minute of play. In the 8th minute, Cândido Ramires left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Borneiros Gaia F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cândido Ramires in the 12th minute of play forced Cantanhede's goalkeeper João Branco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. João Branco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maciej Dubiel in the 14th minute. Maciej Dubiel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cândido Ramires blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without João Branco having to make a save. Wu Yong made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Gonçalves in the 23rd minute of play. After 25 played minutes Cantanhede got a freekick which was hit by Bento Moreira. Cantanhede's João Branco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cândido Ramires in the 27th minute of play. João Branco was out of position in the 30 minute of play, and Maciej Dubiel capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Maciej Dubiel really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Cândido Ramires recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Borneiros Gaia F.C.'s Maciej Dubiel slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of João Branco. That made the score 4-0 after 40 minutes of play. 45 minutes into the game, Chiquinho Dionísio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Borneiros Gaia F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cantanhede the free kick. After 45 played minutes Borneiros Gaia F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Chiquinho Dionísio. Adolfo Leão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wu Yong having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jorge Gonçalves made a kick off. Cantanhede's João Branco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maciej Dubiel in the 51st minute of play. Chiquinho Dionísio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Borneiros Gaia F.C.'s Cândido Ramires got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cândido Ramires sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Maciej Dubiel struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. João Branco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Borneiros Gaia F.C.. If Cândido Ramires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 67 minutes into the match, Maciej Dubiel notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Cantanhede's João Branco. João Branco was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 70 minutes, Bento Moreira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cantanhede and the Borneiros Gaia F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Cantanhede's Bento Moreira got a free kick in the 70th minute. Cândido Ramires hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Jedrzej Pysz's late challenge caught a Cantanhede's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jedrzej Pysz helped the player get up and apologised. After 83 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Borneiros Gaia F.C.! Eusébio Machado walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. In the 93rd minute Cândido Ramires shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Branco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 97th minute of the match Andrézinho Gaúcho sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but João Branco skillfully saved the ball.
