Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Isaac Malvin took the kick off in the first half of the match. 6 minutes into the game, Vasco Resende was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Red Star Monção's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave MAG F.C. the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Red Star Monção fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 5th minute. Penalty! The referee gave MAG F.C. a penalty, 7 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by André Mourão, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Red Star Monção's Osvaldo Alvarenga. 0-1. Osvaldo Alvarenga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Melquiades Vachon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 13th minute, Júlio Bento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 15th minute, Teodoro Lameiras made a precise shot to the right of Rui Vasconcelos. MAG F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After a rather tough play, MAG F.C.'s Danilo Sanches got a free kick in the 19th minute. Luís Oliveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Rui Vasconcelos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 21 played minutes MAG F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Mauro Lamego. In the 22ndth minute of the game John Wayne who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MAG F.C.'s Rui Vasconcelos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling John Wayne in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rui Vasconcelos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Isaac Malvin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fermín Oteiza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Fermín Oteiza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Teodoro Lameiras kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. MAG F.C.'s Fermín Oteiza got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Red Star Monção defense, Isaac Malvin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Osvaldo Alvarenga. The Red Star Monção fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Osvaldo Alvarenga should have stopped the shot. Fábio Jesus's late challenge caught a MAG F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fábio Jesus helped the player get up and apologised. In the 47th match minute, Red Star Monção was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fábio Jesus to maneuver through the defense.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and John Wayne made a kick off. 55 minutes into the game, Teodoro Lameiras was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Silvano Abreu's late challenge caught a Red Star Monção's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Silvano Abreu helped the player get up and apologised. In the 61st minute, Silvano Abreu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Red Star Monção's John Wayne in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye MAG F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. Rui Vasconcelos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Oliveira in the 64th minute of the match. A collision led to Red Star Monção getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Teodoro Lameiras hit a great ball. Osvaldo Alvarenga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fermín Oteiza in the 83rd minute of the match. In the 84th minute Isaac Malvin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Osvaldo Alvarenga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fermín Oteiza scored 1-4 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Osvaldo Alvarenga, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Fermín Oteiza struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Osvaldo Alvarenga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MAG F.C.. Osvaldo Alvarenga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isaac Malvin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Red Star Monção's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Isaac Malvin 92 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-5. With a couple of smart ball manuevers John Wayne in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rui Vasconcelos saved MAG F.C. from getting behind. Fermín Oteiza was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 98th minute. MAG F.C.'s manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. MAG F.C.'s fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
